It also contains a good balance of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, including linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid, two essential fatty acids. 

The fact that it is so high in polyunsaturated fat and low in saturated fat makes it a lot healthier than most other plant oils. 

Does CBD oil have omega 3? 

Yes, CBD oil contains a good amount of omega 3 fatty acids. These essential fatty acids are useful for all areas of health, including balancing our moods, fighting inflammation and even preventing heart disease.

Which vitamins and minerals are in CBD oil? 

CBD oil contains vitamin E, which is an antioxidant, as well as vitamin A.

It also contains some useful minerals, including magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron and zinc. 

Finally, it also contains chlorophyll, which is an anti-inflammatory and can help with weight loss.

Is CBD oil useful as a nutritional supplement?

There’s no denying that CBD oil has a great nutritional profile. Full of healthy fat, omega 3 fatty acids, vitamins and minerals, it can only do your body good. However, you’re unlikely to take it in a quantity that really makes a difference. To get real benefits from CBD oil, you’d need to take at least a teaspoon a day. However, this might be too high a dose of CBD; most people take less than a dozen CBD oil drops daily. 

So although CBD oil has good nutritional value, you’d be better off adding hemp seed oil to your salads if you really want to enjoy those benefits! 

Is CBD legal where I live?

CBD has been legalized in many Western countries, but we encourage you to check your local laws before buying it. In the United States, CBD is not approved by the FDA, but it is legal on a federal level, as long as it contains less than 0.3% THC. 


CBD oil can be taken as a health supplement not only thanks to the benefits of the molecule CBD, but also because of its nutritional profile. It contains good fat, a great balance of omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids, and even some useful vitamins and minerals. But if you’re hoping to get these benefits from CBD, you’ll need more than a few drops a day! If this is too much CBD for you, then consider using CBD oil for its CBD content, and adding hemp seed oil to your diet to get those nutritional benefits.
